Looking Back With Gratitude

To those who may not know me, my name is Lori Greenwood. For nearly five years (2005–2010), I had the privilege of serving alongside Pastor Gary Ragsdale as the Associate Pastor at Word of Truth Christian Center. Since 2005, I’ve continued to quietly update the website and social media content for the church.

When the COVID pandemic emerged in 2019–2020, Word of Truth transitioned into small house-church gatherings—simple, relational, and patterned after the first-century church. It was a beautiful expression of community during a challenging time. After the pandemic, the building on Hoyt Avenue where the church met for many years was sold, and the fellowship simply continued in that house-church format.

In January of 2024, our beloved Pastor Gary went home to be with the Lord. His passing was unexpected, and he is dearly missed. In time, the remaining members of Word of Truth prayerfully connected themselves to Snohomish Faith Church, where they are continuing to worship, serve, and grow.

For now, I’ve chosen to leave portions of this website online for anyone searching for former congregation members, or for those who may not yet have heard of Pastor Gary’s passing.

As for me, I now live in Spokane, but have continued on in ministry, carrying with me the lessons, memories, and gratitude from my years at Word of Truth Christian Center. Pastor Gary was a mentor and a father-like figure in my life, and I will always be thankful for his guidance and friendship.

If you have questions, want to reconnect, or simply want to share a memory, please feel free to reach out. It would be a joy to hear from you.

With love and appreciation,
Lori Greenwood
